Most computers is all you can hope for with any
web design. Designers can ensure your site looks great on PCs and Macs using IE,
Firefox and possibly Safari and Opera, and then you have covered at least 99% of your intended audience.

A common problem nowadays is a wide range of displays that users will use to view your website from huge flatscreens to
mobile phones and PDAs. Designing web content for mobile phones is still a niche market, but most web designer's
will have opinion on what screen resolutions to write code for. My recommendation is to code for users with a resolution of
1024x768 and possibly 800x600 if you are going to need to target the users that still have equipment that is about
5 years or more out of date (about 10-15% of the population). If you can afford it, ask your designer about liquid design for your site. Ask for samples of liquid
design sites they have done, as the technique has not been perfected by all!
